Dear Prospective Families:
Ephesians 6:4 gives us this message for children, “bring them up in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord.” The language used in the passage to describe “nurturing and admonition” indicates, first, that Paul was speaking about a structured and developed system of education for children. Second, the language indicates that the system of education is of the Lord.
At the WCCS, our schooling is first, designed to minister to the heart of the student. In this way, they learn to respond to God through faith to our savior Jesus Christ properly in both believing and in practicing faith. The high levels of responsiveness, cooperation, and willingness to learn are the products of genuine faith towards the Lord Jesus Christ. At the WCCS, our schooling is second, designed to train their thinking as well as to give them knowledge. In this way, students are not taught only knowledge, but also the process of learning.
These attributes of genuine faith and critical thought are a distinctives of WCCS and classical Christian education. These attributes are the foundation for the development of the next generation of leaders who will be able to take their place in their communities and societies and provide their families with direction in the days to come.
I would like to invite you to join us and experience the excitement of learning at WCCS (Washington Classical Christian School).
Sincerely,
Irwin Bailey
Principal
